    James Parnell (1636-1656) was an English Quaker preacher, author, and martyr. He became a convinced Quaker a a teenager after visiting George Fox in prison. Parnell was arrested for blasphemy for disrupting a church service and was fined, but did not pay. He was kept in jail in terrible conditions and was starved to death at the age of 19.
